Sharepoint Userdisp.aspx error

Issue : In sharepoint site when we go to people and groups when we click on any user name if its displays as page can not be displayed or unknow error

Solution : This problem due tomysite was disabled for some reasons, this will throw an error. its a kind of sharepoint bug

Best fix :

Goto :C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS
open userdisp.aspx in notepad before for safter side take a backup of this file ,
After opening the file Find the below line

<SharePoint:DelegateControl runat="server" id="DelctlProfileRedirection" ControlId="ProfileRedirection" Scope="Farm" /> change this to

<SharePoint:DelegateControl runat="server" id="DelctlProfileRedirection" ControlId="ProfileRedirection" Scope="Web" />

if you have Multiple front end server then change the above line in all front end server as well, and no need to do iisreset or rebooting .

Finally Save the file and try ...........the page will open with no issues , last but not least before opening the page clear browser history  as well [if you have browser history]
